Lisa Kepets
LCSW
Lisa is a licensed clinical social worker. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Rutgers University, and then went on to complete her Master’s in Social Work at New York University. To gain greater insight and understanding of her clients, Lisa furthered her education at Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, earning a one-year degree in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. For the past nine years Lisa has worked as a clinician and supervisor at Integrated Care Concepts and Consultation. She served individuals struggling with issues such as, anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts and life adjustments, and worked with couples and families, as well.
Lisa’s approach to psychotherapy is an eclectic one, drawing from a psychodynamic perspective, which acknowledges the influence of past experiences and early relationships, but utilizing cognitive and behavioral techniques as well. She hopes to chart a course that is individually tailored to suit the needs of each client in an environment that feels empathic, safe, and supportive.
One of Lisa's favorite authors is Dr. Irvin Yalom, psychiatrist and psychotherapist, who thinks of his clients and himself as “fellow travelers,” both on the journey of life together, experiencing its great joys as well as its great hardships.
