Courtney Facendo
LCSW, LCADC
Therapist & Clinical Supervisor
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel difficult, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Courtney believes that meaningful therapy begins with feeling safe, heard, and understood. She strives to create a warm, welcoming environment where clients can be their authentic selves and feel comfortable exploring the challenges they are facing.
Courtney earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Social Work from Monmouth University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), with experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
Throughout her career, Courtney has supported clients through a wide range of concerns, including anxiety and depression, substance use and addiction, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, self-esteem, eating disorders, and major life transitions. She has a particular interest in helping individuals who are navigating addiction and co-occurring mental health concerns, while also addressing the underlying experiences and trauma that may contribute to their struggles.
Courtney’s clinical experience includes providing both individual and group counseling in an Intensive Outpatient setting, where she worked with individuals facing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns.
Courtney’s approach to therapy is eclectic and individualized, recognizing that no two people—or their journeys—are exactly alike. She works collaboratively with each client to understand their unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
Above all, Courtney is committed to creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion, and genuine connection. Her goal is to provide a space where clients can feel supported without judgment, gain a deeper understanding of themselves, develop healthy ways of coping, and move toward greater peace, wellness, and healing. She believes that even the most difficult experiences can become part of a person’s growth and transformation.
Outside of the therapy room, Courtney finds her happy place at the beach, cherishes time with family and friends, loves making memories with her Australian Shepherd, and never says no to a good cup of coffee.
“Your wounds lead you to your purpose.”
