Alexis Sweet
Alexis Sweet is a Licensed Social Worker and a Masters level graduate of Rutgers School of Social Work. While pursuing her MSW, Alexis also received a Training Certificate in Alcohol and Addiction studies.
Alexis has provided Mental Health Therapy for clients with a wide range of diagnosis; populations primarily served include children on the Autism spectrum, adolescents with behavioral concerns, teenagers who self harm with Suicidal Ideations, young-middle aged adults with GAD, BPD, MDD with failure to thrive and elderly seniors who are managing chronic pain.
Alexis's "go to" modalities for creating and curating a safe and effective Therapeutic environment is a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational interviewing and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy; all worked from a Person-Centered approach.
Alexis's approach to Therapy mirrors her approach to everyday life. Alexis values teamwork, family and community as integral parts of Healing; Mind, Body, and Spirit. Healing is a wholistic journey that can be characterized by the saying "the whole is greater than the the sum of its parts"-Aristotle.
