Alexis Pitcher is the co-founder of Blue Nexus Counseling and Wellness and a licensed marriage and family therapist who works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. She is deeply passionate about helping people navigate anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the emotional patterns that can make connection feel difficult or overwhelming.

Alexis approaches therapy with the belief that meaningful change happens when people feel truly understood, supported, and empowered. Her work is grounded in relationally focused models and evidence-based modalities, including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Gottman Method, and family systems work, while remaining flexible and responsive to each client’s unique needs. She strives to create a space that feels warm, collaborative, and safe, where clients can explore their experiences without judgment and at a pace that feels right for them.

Alexis is committed to building a practice rooted in connection, growth, and integrated wellness. She enjoys working with individuals and families who are seeking greater self-awareness, healthier relationships, and lasting emotional change, and she values the trust clients place in the therapeutic process.

Alexis earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Monmouth University and her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University (now known as National University). She has additional training in Play Therapy and Sand Tray Therapy, with a specialization in working with children and adolescents.

Outside of the therapy room, Alexis values time with her family (including her pets), being in nature, and engaging in activities that support balance, grounding, and renewal.
